چکیده
Several studies have reported the presence of pharmaceuticals in freshwater bodies all around world. For this investigation, removal ciprofloxacin (CIP) ranitidine (RNT), and chlorphenamine (CPM) using lignocellulose-derived granular activated carbon (GAC) was analyzed, physicochemical mechanisms were elucidated. Additionally, textural surface properties GAC evaluated, concentrations contaminants monitored with UV–Vis Spectrophotometry. The results revealed that is a mesoporous material area 940 m2/g an acidic character point zero charge (pH PZC) 2. adsorption isotherms showed consistent behavior Prausnitz–Radke model, reporting capacities 668, 521, 582μmol/g (221, 173 193 mg/g), at equilibrium concentration 50μmol/L, pH 7 25 °C for CIP, RNT CPM, respectively. Moreover, different levels, temperature, reversibility suggested obeys physical mechanisms, which led to proposal chemical regeneration process organic (ethanol methanol) inorganic (NaOH HCl) diluents. Better obtained diluents, ranging between 44 73% thermodynamic desorption. three reuse cycles successfully performed best conditions, efficiency range 68%–98% each pharmaceuticals. demonstrate viability use drugs characteristics scenarios are very close real ones.

Removal of chromium (VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption using cousinia eryngioides boiss and activated carbon
Adsorption capacity of Cr (VI) onto cousinia eryngioides boiss, activated carbon was investigated in a batch system by considering the effects of various parameters like contact time, initial concentration, pH, temperature, agitation speed, absorbent dose and particle size. Cr (VI) removal is pH dependent and found to be maximum at pH 2.0. The amounts of Cr (VI) adsorbed increased with increase...

Removal of heavy metals from aqueous solution by sawdust adsorption.
The adsorption of lead, cadmium and nicel from aqueous solution by sawdust of walnut was investigated. The effect of contact time, initial metal ion concentration and temperature on metal ions removal has been studied. The equilibrium time was found to be of the order of 60 min. Kinetics fit pseudo first-order, second-order and intraparticle diffusion models, hence adsorption rate constants wer...
متن کاملSilver Removal from Aqueous Solution by Adsorption on Concrete Particles
The major industrial use of silver is as silver halide in the manufacture of photographic film. In 1983, approximately 44% of silver was used in the manufacturing of chemicals for photographic products in the USA. Other industrial uses of silver include the production of electrical contacts and switching gear, batteries, catalysts and mirrors. It has also been used for jewelry, coins and indeli...
متن کاملEfficient Removal of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution by Adsorption on Cerium Vanadate Nanoparticles
Cerium vanadate nanoparticles (CVNPs) were used as a solid phase adsorbent for removing methylene blue (MB) from aqueous media. The nanoparticles were obtained through a direct precipitation procedure in aqueous solutions, and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The results proved the product to comprise 25-45 nm particles. Bat...
